Welcome

You are at the front door of the UPP program

Upgrading for Parents with Pre-Schoolers.

Are you a literacy instructor or adult educator who would like to introduce more family literacy content into your program? Yes? Then UPP is for you and your learners.

UPP contains prepared activities grouped into a series of parenting topics. Offered alongside the adult activities is a schedule of children’s activities, for those programs that offer childcare.

UPP is suitable for adults at LBS levels 2-3, but it is also very adaptable for participants with higher or lower skill levels. The fact that the topics are so relevant will help parents find common ground in their shared interests and concerns.

The UPP program develops parenting strategies and Essential Skills, helping participants to reach their personal goals at home, in the workplace and in their communities.

Most UPP participants will be parents, but parents-to-be, grandparents, aunts and uncles, foster parents and in-home childcare providers will also find the program useful.
